"Boogie Motel" and "Tight Shoes"- 2 albums, ONE CD!

  • 1299

This Edsel release contains the ninth and tenth albums on Bearsville Records. "Boogie Motel" was the first album to be produced by the band members themselves in their own studio (the Boogie Motel of the same title) and surprisingly starts with a cover of Holland-Dozier-Holland  band 100 Proof Aged in Souls" "Somebody's Been Sleeping In My Bed", followed by the hit single "Third Time Lucky". "Tight Shoes" with it's new wave front cover, signaled a change of direction for the band to a "poppier" style and was the last album to feature Slide Guitarist Rod Price for thirteen years. The booklet contains all of the lyrics and brand new extensive notes by Bearsville Records expert Paul Myers (author of "A Wizard, A True Star: Todd Rundgren in the Studio") who has interviewed Roger Earl and Nick Jameson especially for these re-issues.
